TGIF

Well this weekend could actually be pretty busy for us. Tonight we are headed to the Jack-o-lantern Spectacular at Washington Park. It is an amazing show. There are over 2,000 illuminated hand-carved jack-o-lanterns around the Carillon and the Washington Park Botanical Garden and showcases the carving talents of area residents, artists and District 186 students. And one talented area resident just happens to be Jaz herself. When her dad came to visit they each carved a pumpkin that will be included in the event. So tonight we will be doing a "Where's Waldo" with her jack-o-lantern in hopes of getting her picture with it. So be on the look out, if we find it, I will have her post the picture.

Then on Saturday is Jaz's last soccer game for this fall season. Hopefully they will end on a good note. The season has been rather tough. They play against kids anywhere from 2nd grade to 4th or 5th grade I think. And let me tell you, that is a big gap, especially for a relatively new team. But I think it was a good experience for her and everyday she seems to show potential to become a great athlete. Now I am not going to push her into doing something she doesn't want to do. I am just excited that it's not all about lip gloss and Zac Efron anymore. :-)

And then if all goes well we are headed to the Walker's 1st Annual Chili Cook Off on Saturday late afternoon to do some taste-testing. Luckily I have a bye this Sunday and don't have a soccer game. Which by the way I only have one more league game then it's the playoffs. I am excited to announce that my team (check out our mascot....he's little so don't miss him) already won the league despite the fact that we still have another game to play.

Have a good weekend everyone!
