Girls Night Out!

This past weekend was an absolute blast for Jaz and I. On Friday, my friend Andrea and I surprised the girls (Jaz and Sophia). We told them that we were going to go and work out after dinner but first we had to drop something off at The Crowne Plaza for Nana. She was "supposed" to be there for her office holiday party. So we head up to the hotel room and knock on the door calling for Nana and Andrea pulls out the key and I say "Well I guess since Nana's not here, we'll just have to stay here and go swimming." You should have seen the looks on their faces. They were so surprised and excited.

That night they got to swim for about and hour and a half and then they enjoyed some hot chocolate. The girls then painted our nails and did our make-up. All I can say is wow - they really enjoyed using the lip-liner on us. Then Andrea and I did the girls' make-up. It was a blast.

Then on Saturday I played two indoor soccer games and the girls got to hang out again and on Sunday I took Jaz to see The Nutcracker. This is a tradition that we do every year. My mom started it a while back. One of my best friends from high school , Gina DeCroix, is the Ballet Mistress for The Springfield Ballet Company. She is wonderful and such an inspiration. Here she is 28 doing exactly what she loves. And might I say she is wonderful at it.

This year she got to perform a part that she has been wanting to do for many years, the Arabian Princess. (I think it is called something else, but either way, she looked the princess part.) She did a fantastic job and Jaz and I had a wonderful time.
