In 13 days Jaz will fly to South Carolina to start her summer vacation and in 13 days I will turn 29...only 1 more year until I break out of my twenties, such a milestone for some people. I don't really know if I am looking at it any differently. I think I truly believe age is but a number, but I must admit I have some life goals that are marked by my age. So - hopefully that doesn't make me hypocritical.
We are in the process of moving and organizing. Jaz was all excited she found a nest of cardinals outside her new bedroom window. So that will be fun to watch. The dogs are loving the fenced in back yard - Loki just runs around with his soccer ball in his mouth and Lexey ignores him. Speaking of backyard - we did a little trimming yesterday. Jaz drug the piles to the compost and said it was like April Fool's day because she covered all the rose bush branches with lilac branches. And then got herself on her little joke which she then proceeded to laugh and say "Yep Mom - it's a pretty good joke, I just got myself"....ahhhh kids! I think she had one too many cookies.
This weekend coming up is a four day weekend! I cannot wait for it to get here. Every since my Mother-Daughter trip I feel like I can't catch up, although we did get a ton done this weekend. But when you work all day Saturday and Sunday around the house - just one more day off to relax would be nice. So thank you Memorial Day!
